Before District Court Judge Christoper E. Bruns in Tama County District Court in Toledo:
Joshua Dale Todd, 30, addresses of Tama and Clutier, entered guilty pleas to charges of 2nd degree criminal mischief, 4th domestic abuse assault causing injury - strangulation and eluding / attempting to elude while participating in a felony.
He was sentenced to five years in prison on each charge with the sentences to run concurrently with a sentence of 90 days in jail for 4th degree criminal mischief to which he also entered a guilty plea. He was directed to complete the Iowa domestic Abuse Program. Fines and court costs totaling $ 1,455 were assessed and Todd was ordered to pay restitution totaling $6,053. Fines totaling $1,500 were suspended.
Todd was charged on July 26, 2016, after he drove his pickup truck into a house in the 400 block of 4th Street, Clutier, by Tama County Chief Deputy Sheriff Chad Hansen and for domestic assault on the same date by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt.
Charges of 2nd offense drunken driving, eluding and three counts of child endangerment were dismissed in a plea arrangement.
Talia Shae Greiner, 28, Oskaloosa, entered a written guilty plea to driving while barred. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for time served and the balance suspended. She was fined and assessed court costs totaling $1,004.
Greiner was charged on Dec. 4, 2016, on Iowa Highway 21 at 210th Street, rural Dysart, following a collision of a sports utility vehicle operated by her and a truck. She was arrested by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Wesley Sebetka.
Issaiah Thomas Roberts, 37, rural Tama, was sentenced to 90 days in jail after previously entering a guilty plea to a charge of 4th degree theft. The sentence is to run concurrently with a sentence for 3rd degree burglary imposed on Jan. 26. He was given credit for any time already served. He was also fined and assessed court costs totaling $740 and to pay restitution.
Roberts was charged with taking a comforter, bed sheets, two large, two smaller and a set of six yard ornaments, eight packs of flower bulbs and four magnetic potter plants from Shopko in Toledo on Sept. 28, 2015. The charge was filed by Toledo Police Officer Nathan Wunn.
Eric Anthony Rea, 21, Bernard, Iowa, pleaded guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. he was sentenced to 90 days in jail with all but two days suspended, fined and assessed court costs totaling $1,838 and directed to complete Drinking Drivers School.
Rea was charged on Oct. 28, 2016, on the U.S. 30 Expressway eastbound off ramp at U.S. Highway 63 in Toledo by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt.
