The Mysterious, Gruesome, Yet Morbidly Fascinating Murder at the Wieting will have its first rehearsal this week. This production will be at the Wieting on September 24th at 2 PM.

It will be the first time the Kiwanians have taken on the role of actors. For most of them, they will be meeting some challenges. For example, Pastor Brian Oliver plays a drunken and inept sound effects man. Pastor Oliver is neither a heavy drinker or inept. Sue Carnahan plays a pole dancer. Although Sue enjoys life, she has never indulged in this art form. The only person who was typecast is Todd Kruse, who plays the local mortician. However, Todd is a patriotic American and would never hide the enemy in his basement.

Therefore, this experience will be a challenge for the whole group. Fortunately, the director is Mary Fasse-Shaw, who has had state wide recognition for her ability in drama. Perhaps her challenge is the greatest one of all as she turns this inexperienced cast into actors. The cast is looking forward to having fun with the experience and dedicated to making sure the audience has a lot of fun as well.
