Letter to the Editor:

In response to Pam Woods editorial from Sept. 13th.

I enjoyed the past years dancing and aerobics with you also. I am proud of being in the group that began the adult dance team Yes-that is in the past when the Community building was used to prepare, practice, and relax between shows.

As for the Theater/ Opera house; the public understands that the Theater / Opera house is now 90% renovated. With the exception of the stage area, basement, and a few others issues. It is now being enjoyed as a safe, handicap accessible environment for movies and performing arts events.

I agree that the younger generation needs to learn the value of Volunteerism, perseverance, follow their dreams. I'll even add another one; to Respect town history by preserving it.

Is our town fathers now teaching the younger generation to not keep maintains the Old buildings that are used daily. That they must be destroyed to make room for newer buildings? Look in Toledo at the newly closed Community building. It had just a few issues that needed maintained. Over the years those in charge let them slide. It needs immediate attention to repair and restore as Historical. The new owners choice is to destroy it.
