Tama residents reminded of winter sidewalk, street requirements

Tama Mayor Mike Carnahan said Monday night with the coming of the winter season Tama residents need to remember the rules covering streets and sidewalks in the city.

At the end of a snowfall, you have 48 hours to clear residential sidewalks of snow and ice.

Vehicle must not be parked on streets designated snow routes during snowfalls and should be moved from all streets ot allow plows to clear the roadways.

Parking on berms is prohibited.

Winter officially begins Dec. 21, but a few snowflakes have already fallen.
