With so much controversy on what to do with the Juvenile Home, and who to GIVE it to for $1.00, why give it to someone out of town. We have excellent home builders here in Tama and Toledo.

Two come to mind immediately, Mike Haughey of Tama and Duane Pansegrau of Toledo. Both of these gentlemen have built several homes in this area. Billy Dreesman is another person who remodels and builds. Why not donate it to them or sell it for $1.00 to one of them, maybe even let them divide it among them.

These gentlemen could divide the ground into lots for future homes. This would provide jobs for Tama and Toledo, as well as get the property tax money started. Selling the house and garage already on this ground could be an immediate source of tax money. Work on the Juvenile Home buildings could be divided among local carpenters to invest in.

I would suggest locals be used to handle the division of this property. We know their background and their abilities. We hear a lot about buying locally, how about selling or donating locally?

Suggestions for the Juvenile Home buildings would be apartments in some, an assisted living in the main building, and many other ideas. Think about it.
